Peer Review Process

All applications for publication received by the editorial office must undergo double blind review (the reviewer does not know the author of the manuscript, the author of the manuscript does not know the reviewer).

Reviewing of articles is carried out both by members of the editorial board and by invited reviewers - leading experts in the relevant field of science.

The decision on the selection of the reviewer is made by the executive editor.

In the event of a conflict of interest, the reviewer has the right to refuse to conduct an examination of the article.

The review period is 2 weeks, but at the request of the reviewer it can be extended.

Based on the results of reviewing the manuscript, the reviewer makes the following recommendations:

  • the article is recommended for publication in its present form;
  • the article can be published after correcting the deficiencies noted by the reviewer;
  • the article needs additional reviewing by another specialist;
  • the article cannot be published in the journal.

If the review contains recommendations for correcting and revising the article, the editorial staff of the journal sends the text of the review to the author with a proposal to take them into account when preparing a new version of the article or to refute them reasonably (partially or completely). The revised article is re-sent for review.

The revision of the article should take no more than 2 weeks from the moment the author is notified of the need to make changes. Upon the expiration of this period, the author is notified of the removal of the manuscript from consideration for publication. If the author refuses to revise the article, he must notify the editorial office of his decision in writing.

An article not recommended for publication will not be accepted for reconsideration.

The presence of a positive review is not a sufficient reason for the publication of an article. The final decision on publication is made at a meeting by the editorial board. In any conflict situations, the final decision is made by the editor-in-chief.

After the editorial board makes a decision to admit the article for publication, the editorial board informs the author about this, indicating the possible publication dates.

Reviews are kept in the editorial office of the journal for 5 years, during which they can be submitted to the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia if requested.

Publication Frequency

Semiannually (two times a year).
